The real secret to this staircase is in the level of detail incorporated by our designer. Our Boston Newel post is the perfect choice for a truly elegant hall. A beautifully crafted statement, its decorative finials and cornicing add a touch of grandeur and decadence to the space.

To continue the visual impact across the whole design, a unique treble cluster of our Cherwell spindle adds architectural depth, while still letting light flow freely around the hall.

Contemporary, yet classic

Full of contemporary character and unique charm, this bespoke staircase takes elegant detailing and timeless style and gives it a modern twist. Combining wall panelling, ornate newel posts with contrasting caps and a treble cluster of our Cherwell spindle, it’s the perfect blend of modern aesthetic and quintessential style – a statement piece designed to stand the test of time!

Wall panelling

Wall panelling was traditionally used to insulate homes but quickly became a popular decorative feature – and it’s easy to see why. Working equally well in any space (and indeed any room of the home), panelling is a versatile addition that brings new depth, texture and visual detail. And its classic looks mean this is no transient trend – like our timeless Wentworth Shaker style, wall panelling has real longevity in design terms.

Here, wall panelling was used at both levels, tying the overall look of the staircase transformation together perfectly.

Modern Monochrome + Chequerboard Pattern

The epitome of easy, impactful colour schemes, this space was transformed by a contemporary monochromatic palette.

Our expert designer worked closely alongside the homeowner to keep the space light, bright and open, contrasting paint in Sorrel, a soft white from our exclusive and extensive range, with our deep, rich Jacobean Oak finish for caps, handrails and treads.

The stunning chequered tiled floor and the warmth of the jute stair runner provide the perfect foil to the staircase design.
