One of the more complicated briefs involved the design of a 7 metre long table that could be disassembled, shipped for export, and reassembled in Spain by the client.

By designing the table in sections and ensuring that the main supports became the structural base for the table to be reassembled, this was achieved with ultimate ease. Just as critical was selected the most suitable materials for the environment the table was going into – a non-air conditioned room in Spain where the table would be exposed to high humidity. Based on this the client was advised to avoid natural veneers and we selected man-made materials that would withstand high humidity.
